If you're interested in becoming the fittest athlete that you can be, then come join us for an intense, full-body, conditioning class that is designed to increase your strength, stamina, durability and mental toughness. Included in $35 monthly fee for non-members.

Kickboxing Plus

Time flies when you are having fun and fitness!
This is a unique blend of fitness kickboxing
plus empowerment and enrichment with upbeat
music. Fun and fitness are emphasized more
than technique and choreography. Enjoy a
positive and supportive atmosphere! Regardless
of your fitness level, beginner, intermediate,
athlete, or martial artist, this class is
designed to enhance the quality of your
life. Empowerment-Enrichment-Success. Members $5 a class or $19 for 6 weeks; Non-members $8 a class or $39 for 6 weeks.

Cycling / Spinning

T/TH 5:30- 6:15 p.m. Instructor: Dee Pavlowski
Spinning is a group cycling class designed
to stimulate high performance bicycle racing.
Carried out on specifically designed stationary
bicycles, the workouts improve aerobic and
anaerobic performance. Members $10 a month, non-members $40 a month.

Hatha Yoga
Instructor: Pat Kemph
M 6:30-8:00 p.m.
W 6:30-8:00 p.m.
This class is a combination of posture and
breathing exercises. You will increase flexibility,
improve circulation and increase energy.
These exercises will strengthen and elongate
muscles, cells, tendons, joints and ligaments.
Great for increasing agility! Members $5 a class or $15 a month; Non-members $8 a class or $30 a month. Note: These are separate classes. You attend Monday OR Wednesday, not both. Rates are per class.

Zumba

2010 YMCA Activate
America Initiative

Water Fitness Classes
Deep
Water Interval
M/W 6:00- 7:00 p.m.
A short warm-up, 30-45 intervals of cross
country ski, high knees, etc for 20 minutes,
wall push-ups and donkey kicks with lap
swims in between, a little bit of abdominal
work and a cool down.

Cardio
Aquacise
M/W 6:00- 7:00 p.m.
A short warm-up, followed by leg exercises
on the wall, arm and weight exercises (all
below the water), intervals of cross country
ski, rocking horse, and a cool down.

Water
Walking/Water Jogging
T/TH 9:30- 10:30 a.m.
A gentle water aerobic class. Water walking
is held in the shallow end of the pool,
jogging is in the deep end with a jog belt.
No need to know how to swim for either of
these programs. Exercises move across and
around the pool using different methods
(knee lifts, cross country ski, march, jog,
etc.). The resistance of the water provides
up to 10 times the resistance found in a
typical walk or jog.

Aquacise
T/TH 10:30- 11:30 am
This class is choreographed with moves in
the water, followed by muscle conditioning
using water resistance weights.

Arthritic
Aquacise
M/W 11:30 - 12:30 pm
T/TH 11:30 - 12:30 pm
This class is formed around exercises from
the Arthritis Foundation. These moves are
designed to increase the movement and flexibility
of the participants. Great for anyone of
any age who has physical limitations due
to arthritis or joint problems!
Open Water Exercise
Instructor: uninstructed
M/W 10:30 - 11:30 am
Whether you prefer deep water or shallow water exercising, intense or mild workouts, this class is for you! Participants are permitted to make use of our jogging belts, water weights, and noodles. This class is uninstructed.

YMCA Health and Wellness
The YMCA of Lenawee County has played a significant role in building strong kids, strong families, strong communities. That mission remains a key focus for Lenawee County. We offer programs that enhance health and wellness for community members of all ages.
Our Wellness Center features the latest in strength and aerobic conditioning equipment. New members are required to attend an orientation to facilitate correct and safe usage of the equipment. Orientations are approximately one hour in length and will be scheduled when you sign up for a membership.
At the YMCA, no one is turned away because they are unable to pay the full fee. We are committed to ensuring everyone in the community can benefit from involvement in the YMCA.
