Summer Outdoor Pool Employment Opportunities 
 
Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

Provides a safe and clean environment for all guests in the pool area. Performs lifeguard duties in assigned areas. Cleans pool, pool deck, dressing rooms, and other assigned areas. Fills out appropriate accident/incident reports in accordance with policy and procedures. Assists in record keeping. Responds quickly and efficiently to all emergency situations. Attends regularly-scheduled in-service trainings; passes all skills training as required. Assist/Teach various levels of youth swim lessons. Must be at least 16 years of age or older at hire date. Possession of current American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguarding and CRP/AED for Lifeguards certifications at hire date. Member Service and Concession Attendant

We are looking for individuals who are friendly and have excellent customer services skills and will be responsible for meeting the needs and satifcation of the members and guests by greeting, receipting, cleaning and food preparation. YMCA Child Care Department

The YMCA of Lenawee County is seeking energetic compassionate individuals who would be interested in spending their time as positive role models for school aged and preschool aged children. Candidates must be creative, self-motivated, enthusiastic and responsible. Job duties include but are not limited to supervision of children, curriculum implementation, and providing a safe environment for the students in their care.

Fitness Instructor

Are you motivating and want to be part of an energized knowledgeable team of fitness instructors? We are looking for another Fitness Instructor to add to our team, please inquire if certified - experience is preferred, needs to work some days and evenings part-time. 2-3 evenings per week.

Referees

Referees are expected to engage and help teach kids the rules of the game. Help run practices during the week. Officiate games on Saturday or Sunday. Help YMCA sports staff set-up and clean up before and games.  Be a role model for our youth by displaying the five core values of the YMCA, Caring, Honestly, Respect, and Responsibility.  

 

Adult Volleyball Officials

Four 45-minute matches per night; Tue, Wed & Thurs evenings 6:30-10:00pm. Must possess knowledge of the game, previous competitive playing and/or officiating experience preferred. 

 
Program Director

Under the direction of the Executive Director and in accordance with Association policies, the Program Director is responsible for the scheduling and supervising of the Aquatics Team and Fitness Team for the YMCA of Lenawee County.  This leader will lead the development and implementation of innovative curriculum and activities, supervising, guiding and developing staff to ensure that participant’s development occurs in a fun, healthy and safe environment, and ensuring program outcomes are consistently achieved.
