Summer Outdoor Pool Employment Opportunities
Aquatics Coordinator

Will oversee the Aquatics Department and develop and implement innovative curriculum and activities, supervising, guiding and developing staff to ensure that participant’s development occurs in a fun, healthy and safe environment, and ensuring program outcomes are consistently achieved.  Candidate must be a high school graduate, certified Lifeguard with current CPR, First Aid, AED and O2 certificates. Demonstrate proven ability to display initiative, good judgment and ability to make decisions independently.  Able to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills; public speaking, capacity to prepare reports, and conduct in-service programs.  Will possess competent computer skills and is willing to learn other YMCA computer programs.

Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

Provides a safe and clean environment for all guests in the pool area. Performs lifeguard duties in assigned areas. Cleans pool, pool deck, dressing rooms, and other assigned areas. Fills out appropriate accident/incident reports in accordance with policy and procedures. Assists in record keeping. Responds quickly and efficiently to all emergency situations. Attends regularly-scheduled in-service trainings; passes all skills training as required. Assist/Teach various levels of youth swim lessons. Must be at least 16 years of age or older at hire date. Possession of current American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguarding and CRP/AED for Lifeguards certifications at hire date. Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background investigation.

 
Member Service and Concession Attendant

We are looking for individuals who are friendly and have excellent customer services skills and will be responsible for meeting the needs and satifcation of the members and guests by greeting, receipting, cleaning and food preparation. all outdoor pool interest and resumes should be sent to jmoreno@ymcaoflenawee.org.

 

 
 
YMCA Childcare Department

The YMCA of Lenawee County is seeking energetic compassionate individuals who would be interested in spending their time as positive role models for school aged and preschool aged children. Candidates must be creative, self-motivated, enthusiastic and responsible. Job duties include but are not limited to supervision of children, curriculum implementation, and providing a safe environment for the students in their care.

Fitness Instructor

Referees

Referees are expected to engage and help teach kids the rules of the game. Help run practices during the week. Officiate games on Saturday or Sunday. Help YMCA sports staff set-up and clean up before and games.  Be a role model for our youth by displaying the five core values of the YMCA, Caring, Honestly, Respect, and Responsibility.  


Sports Coordinator
The Sports Coordinator ensures that daily care of members, teens and families is a key priority through supervision of staff and volunteers in accordance with the organization’s policies, mission and applicable laws; maintains organization, scheduling, data entry and some implementation in programming; assists in preparing and communicating sports programming within the branch and in the community; works with supervisor to collaborate with branch staff to ensure excellence and consistency in service through daily care of members, program participants and volunteers; assist in the implementation of the branch sports program communication and marketing plan and strategies; fills in as needed as Manager on Duty and any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Adult Volleyball Officials

Four 45-minute matches per night; Tue, Wed & Thurs evenings 6:30-10:00pm. Must possess knowledge of the game, previous competitive playing and/or officiating experience preferred.
