We had a great time at Art-A-Licious 2014!

The 2014 Art-A-Licious event in Downtown Adrian was another tremendous success for local and regional artists of all kinds! The YMCA of Lenawee County was part of a growing contingent of nonprofit organizations in Lenawee County to have a booth set up in "Nonprofit Row". During the event, we offered craft projects for children to enjoy, including thumbprint art on our YMCA logo, keychain bead crafts, and paper plate animal designs! Families were able to learn more information on various YMCA programs and membership, including our recent free youth tennis mini-camp and our youth lock-in. We easily had over 100 children through the booth on Friday and Saturday, despite the bad weather that helped conclude the event Saturday night.

The planning for the event kicked off a few months prior, when the Y participated in a pilot project with Adrian College to appoint student-interns to our booth. Students Claire, Emily and Kelly were instrumental in helping design and set up the booth, creating the craft projects, and staffing the booth during the two-day festival. Y staff members and volunteers also provided key assistance in running the booth.

Here is a photo montage of our booth at the 2014 Art-A-Licious event. Many thanks to everyone who attended, we hope to see you again next year!
