Youth Facility access policies 


General Use: 

Youth age 10-12 are allowed to be at the YMCA without a parent and/or unsupervised for up to 2 hours maximum. 

Ages 13+ are allowed in the building without parental supervision.

Age 9 and under are only allowed in the building if they are under parent supervision or in an organized activity. 


Wellness Center and Iron Courts:

Youth under the age of 11 are not permitted in the Wellness Center or Iron Courts.

Ages 11-13 must have direct adult supervision and are required to receive a wellness coaching orientation before using the wellness center. A list of those that have completed this will be maintained at the front desk.

Ages 14-16 may use the Wellness Center independently after they have completed a wellness coaching orientation. 

The Iron Courts are for high school age and above only. High school age members can gain access to the Iron Courts after completing a wellness coaching orientation. 



Children under the age of 9 are only allowed in the pool if they are accompanied by someone age 16 or older. 

Ages 9+ are allowed in the pool without supervision. 

Everyone under the age of 16 must take a swim test to determine their swim level. For anyone over the age of 16, we retain the right to conduct a swim test if we have any reason to be concerned about their safety in the pool. 


Cycling Studio/ Exercise Classes: 

To gain access to the cycling studio, youth must be at least 13 years of age or 4'10"

Youth ages 10-12 can attend group exercise classes with direct adult supervision.

Youth ages 13+ are allowed to attend group exercise classes independently.
